The Mackinac Bridge spanning the straights of Mackinac, that connect Lake Michigan and Lake Huron, connects the Upper and Lower Peninsulas of Michigan. The total length of the bridge is over five miles while the suspended length of 8,614 feet makes it the worlds fifth longest suspension bridge.
